TERMS OF SERVICE
The weekly prize and the house fee.
Top Expat is a weekly prize pool for account holders. You must be 18 or older to create an account or pay into the pool. These terms are the rules for that pool.
House fee
Twenty-five percent (25%) of each confirmed payment is a house fee. That 25% is taken off the top and is not part of the prize. The other 75% is added to that week's prize. The jackpot shown in the header is the prize only: it starts at $5 every week, then adds the 75% player share of confirmed payments. It does not include the house fee.
The week
A week begins Monday at 00:00 UTC and closes the next Monday at 00:00 UTC. At the open, before any new payment, the prize is $5. You wager on which league vlogger will finish that week as number 1. When the week closes, the number 1 vlogger is the one recorded for that week's crown. Every confirmed wager on that vlogger shares the prize. A confirmed wager on anyone else wins nothing. If nobody backed the number 1, nobody is paid and the next week opens at $5 again. A lifetime win is one closed week in which your account was paid.
Payments
You pay on topexpat.net. The site shows a bitcoin amount and an address for that payment. A payment counts when the invoice is seen or settled. Unpaid and expired invoices are not added to the prize or the odds. The price locks when the payment confirms.
Live odds
Each vlogger has a tuned price. The opening price comes from the live ranking: number 1 pays the least, and each lower rank pays more, up to 50.00. Confirmed money on a vlogger pulls that vlogger's price down. The same money lets the other prices rise. The blend starts on the ranking and moves toward the money as the confirmed total grows. The numbers move on the live connection when a payment confirms or the ranking changes. Pending payments do not move the odds.
A winning ticket is paid at the price it locked. If the winning tickets together would take more than that week's prize, every winning ticket is reduced by the same fraction until the prize covers them. If the locked prices take less than the prize, the difference is not paid out. Several accounts on the winning vlogger each receive their own reduced or full locked return. That is how they share the pot.
Accounts
An account needs an email address so we can verify it. Choose a username that does not identify you. Your email is not shown on the board. Your public profile shows the username, avatar, bio, the vlogger you backed, and lifetime wins. You can replace the avatar and bio after verification.
The board
The creator league decides number 1 for the week. The field on this page is that league with a live price on each vlogger. The fan-pass prediction is separate and does not pay the prize.
